About Underwood Kitchens

Underwood Kitchens is a family business founded in 1991 and is owned by Jane Cheel.

Based in Grendon Underwood, in the Buckinghamshire countryside, between Aylesbury and Bicester, the company currently employs over 40 people.

The Underwood team consists of designers; craftsmen, who hand-build each kitchen; support staff, who handle the phone calls and administration and installers who ensure that the kitchen installation goes smoothly from beginning to end.

Underwood has a unique and personal approach to designing each kitchen and each piece of furniture. Because we understand that no two people are alike, each Underwood kitchen is truly bespoke. To ensure that every customer gets the kitchen or furniture of their dreams we work with them at every stage, helping to pinpoint those things the customer believes are most important.

Each kitchen is hand-built from start to finish in the Underwood factory. We are committed to only using wood that comes from renewable sources.

Handmade furniture

Although primarily renowned for our kitchens, Underwood also produces handmade furniture for other rooms throughout the home, such as the bedroom, bathroom, living room or study.

Underwood showrooms

Customers are encouraged to visit the Underwood showrooms, to view the extensive range of furniture styles and woods that are available. In addition to the main showroom in Grendon Underwood, Underwood Furniture is available from selected retailers throughout the UK.

Awards

Underwood is proud of its accomplishments over the past 16 years. In 2002 we received the prestigious Bathroom and Kitchens Magazine Master Retailer Award. The award recognises the business acumen of a kitchen retailer, plus the quality of the showroom, level of customer service and marketing strategy. As much as we are delighted with this recognition from the kitchen industry, it is the testimonials from satisfied customers on which we measure our real success.
